Welcome
to another school year at Andrew
Carnegie Elementary School.
We have a lot to celebrate as
we begin a new school year.
Our ISAT scores increased substantially
in reading, mathematics and
science. We could not
have done this without your
cooperation, and have seen first
hand the benefit of committment
and team work.
In order to establish and maintain
a school climate conducive to
learning, we expect all students
to exercise self-discipline.
You and your child will better
understand our expectatins by
reading and discussing the rules,
regulations, and procedures
detailed in this web site.
Your support will help to ensure
our child's safety and the safety
of others.
For your convenience, we have
added information on this web
site to help you and your child
achieve success throughout this
school year. Our school
calendar highlights important
dates and special events that
you will need throughout the
year.
Also this year we have added
a new feature called School
Notes. It
is a simple and effective means
to communicate school information
to you and your education community.
School notes will complement
our school's web site by allowing
teachers to post school information
on the world-wide-web.
You will be able to email your
child's teacher, view homework
assignments or any other information
from that class by just clicking
on the teachers name or picture
from the teachers list on the
left. You can also view
my School Notes and Ms. Pate's
by clicking on our picutures
as well.
Through a cooperative effort
on the part of students, teachers,
administrators, parents and
community members, we will achieve
our goal "that all children
can, will and must learn."
I encourage all of our students
to embrace success and to believe
in their power to excel. |
